The Retain.me SMART Returns API will return the following HTTP Response codes.

| 200 OK | Success. |
| 400 Bad Request | The request cannot be fulfilled due to bad syntax or an invalid parameter. |
| 401 Unauthorized | Invalid authentication/authorization credentials. A request to the SMART Returns API with invalid/expired API Key(s). |
| 403 Forbidden | HTTPS Required |
| 403 Forbidden | Typically could not grant access to the system |
| 404 Not Found | Request for a resource that was not found. |
| 429 Too Many Requests | Request limit exceeded, 120 request's per minute. |
| 500 Internal Server Error | Internal systems error. |
